Marla Blow

CEO
Marla is Chief Executive Officer of FS Card and a member of the company’s board of directors. Prior to FS Card Marla served as Assistant Director of Card and Payment Markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Marla previously spent seven years in a variety of functions at Capital One. Marla graduated from Stanford University Graduate School of Business with an MBA, and also earned a BS degree in Economics from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton.

Jodi Golinsky

General Counsel
Jodi Golinsky is General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer and serves as the Secretary of FS Card's Board of Directors.  She is also a partner at Fenway Summer. Prior to joining FS Card Inc., Jodi was the Deputy U.S. General Counsel for Wonga U.S., where she was responsible for helping to launch a U.S. small business lending platform. Previously, Jodi was Chief Prepaid Counsel at American Express, where she oversaw approximately fifteen new product launches, managed their money transmitter licenses, and served on the Global Prepaid executive leadership team.  Prior to joining American Express, Jodi was Vice President, U.S. Regulatory & Public Policy Counsel for MasterCard Worldwide, where she was responsible for managing all U.S. regulatory affairs and public policy matters.  Jodi began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Denny Chin (SDNY) and for the Honorable Ralph K. Winter (Chief Judge, Second Circuit).  She was then an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, where she concentrated on regulatory investigations and securities fraud litigation.

Tiago Requeijo

Chief Technology Officer
Tiago Requeijo is the Lead Data Scientist and CTO at FS Card, and has led the development of FS Card's underwriting engine. Before joining FS Card, Tiago was a Director at The Rock Creek Group, a global investment and advisory firm based in Washington, DC. He also spent two years with the Securities and Exchange Commission where he focused on quantitative risk assessment for broker-dealers and worked on rules connected to the Dodd-Frank Act. Prior to his work at the SEC, he was an Associate in the Market Risk Management and Analysis group at Goldman Sachs in New York, working on Value-at-Risk and stress testing for equity products. Tiago is also a faculty member in the Finance Department in the School of Business at George Mason University. He earned a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from IST in Portugal.

Gonzalo Palacio

Marketing Lead
Gonzalo is the Marketing and Product Lead at FS Card.  He started his career by focusing on data-driven installment loan marketing and product strategy at Capital One.  He then made the leap to consumer banking at Capital One Bank where he led product innovation as the consumer deposit franchise scaled from a regional to a national presence.  Gonzalo is a graduate of Tulane University where he earned an MBA in Finance and a B.Sc. in Engineering Science.  Outside of the office, Gonzalo enjoys traveling with his family, listening to live music, and supporting Liverpool FC.

Tim Richey

Operations Lead
Tim leads operations and servicing at FS Card. He has 20 years’ experience in process engineering in the banking industry. Tim has also worked as an independent consultant for multiple organizations including Fannie Mae. Tim earned an MIM in International Finance at Thunderbird School of Global Management, an MBA at Willamette University, and a Bachelor of Science at Pitzer College.

Ted is Chief Financial Officer of FS Card. Prior to FS Card Ted was CFO for a private equity backed EdTech company leading them to a highly successful exit. Ted previously worked fifteen years in finance in a variety of functions at Bank of America including CFO for Banc of America Merchant Services, Small Business Lending and other businesses. Ted is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in International Finance from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton.

Rich Franks

Chief Credit Officer
Rich Franks is the Chief Credit Officer of FS Card. He previously led credit card risk and unsecured underwriting for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney, before which he spent over a decade at Capital One in various modeling, risk, and analytics roles across consumer and business banking. Rich holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Liu

Sr. Director Operations
As Sr. Director Operations for FS Card, Chris Liu manages business areas including partner relationships, product life-cycle implementation, account servicing, and compliance monitoring. Prior to joining FS Card, Chris served as an advisory trade management consultant for Amber Road and a Global Operations Manager in the Financial Institutions Group for SNL Financial. Chris earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.A. from Liberty University. He is a certified Project Management Professional.

Kate DeSorrento

Senior Compliance Manager
Kate joined FS Card Inc. in December 2015 as a part of the compliance team and contributes to the oversight and ongoing regulatory monitoring of the Build Card program. Additionally she works with the General Counsel on matters pertaining to state licensing and corporate governance. Prior to joining FS Card Kate worked at Vemo Education on income-based education finance solutions. She spent seven years coaching college basketball before entering the startup world.  Kate holds a B.S. in neuroscience from Union College (NY) and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Rochester Strong School of Medicine.

Shubham focuses on business strategy, financial analysis, and product development at FS Card. He has over 11 years of experience in Consulting and Banking and his recent engagements include working in Marketing and Analytics at Capital One, and in Finance and Private Sector Development at The World Bank. He has Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University and MS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. When not in office, Shubham enjoys traveling with his wife and their 3 year old.

Carsten Erner

Sr. Director Credit Risk & Research
As Sr. Director Credit Risk & Research, Carsten integrates behavioral science research with advanced analytics in FS Card’s credit risk management. Prior to joining FS Card, Carsten was a postdoctoral scholar in behavioral economics at the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he led various research projects in the consumer credit space. Carsten holds a Ph.D. in Finance and a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Münster.

Eric Reynolds is Director of Credit Policy at FS Card. Prior to FS Card, he spent 6 years at Capital One in a variety of functions in consumer banking, including risk, finance, and product/marketing. Eric is a graduate of Colgate University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Greek/Latin.

Joy Hackenbracht

Director Digital Marketing
Joy Hackenbracht is the Director Digital Marketing. She directs the development of new digital acquisition channels, builds predictive models to improve marketing efficiency, and identifies target segments to optimize marketing content and placement. Previously, Joy was a research officer with The Pew Charitable Trusts consumer banking project, which focuses on improving the safety and transparency of key banking practices.  She carried out fair lending analyses for the CFPB and behavioral experiments for the IRS as a senior researcher with Fors Marsh Group. Joy is an accredited statistician with the American Statistical Association. She has a PhD in psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and a BS in psychology from the University of Washington.

Meena Jain

Director Data Analysis
As a Director Data Analysis at FS Card, Meena focuses on end to end data management and quantitative analysis of credit card performance.  Prior to joining FS Card, Meena was Senior Financial Data Analyst at First Niagara Bank, where she architected and managed the Quantitative Risk Management database and analyzed product performance.  Meena started her professional career as a Software Engineer at Infosys where she designed and developed various E-banking modules for Finacle – one of the world’s leading banking suites.  Meena earned her Master of Science (MS) in Management Information Systems from State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Osmania University, India.

Jesse Mayer

Project Manager
Jesse Mayer is responsible for establishing and managing the company’s credit card marketing campaigns and ensuring the appropriate cycle times and campaign requirements are aligned. Additionally, he plays a key organizational and tactical role at FS Card by helping orchestrate a broad range of projects. He previously filled a similar role at Fenway Summer, a seed investor in FS Card. Prior to Fenway Summer, Jesse was an Executive Assistant at The Boston Consulting Group, and a Scheduler for a United States Congressman. Jesse graduated from The George Washington University with honors.

David Roberts

Financial Analysis Manager
David is a Financial Analysis Manager at FS Card. Prior to FS Card, David spent five years at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the Office of Financial Stability. Most recently, he was a financial analyst on the Troubled Asset Relief Program’s investments team. Before that, David earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Stephen Stolzenberg

Business Analyst
Stephen is a Business Analyst at FS Card. Prior to FS Card, Stephen spent a year working as an Operations Manager at two Hong Kong startups: Ivyspace and Foodpanda. He previously spent two years as a Princeton in Asia Fellow in Thailand. Stephen graduated from Princeton University with a BA in German and a minor in Near Eastern Studies.

As a statistician at FS Card, Jessica focuses on building cutting edge statistical models to predict customer behaviors. Prior to FS Card, she was an intern at James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy as a Quantitative Analyst. In addition, she also worked as Data Analyst for Shell Center for Sustainability. Jessica is fascinated about Statistics and Finance. Jessica earned a Master of Statistics at Rice University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Thomas Alford

Marketing Manager
Thomas is a Marketing Manager at FS Card. Prior to FS Card, Thomas was a Marketing Lead for Lyft in the DC market where he was responsible for demand-side acquisition and retention, brand, OOH, and paid digital campaigns.  He also spent time at a venture-backed health tech startup and co-founded an e-commerce startup that he successfully scaled and exited after five years. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he played Division I lacrosse, earning a BA and BS. He holds an MA from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Peter Ten Eyck

Peter is an Operations Analyst at FS Card, where he works with the operations team to manage partner relationships, project approval cycles, and exception handling. Prior to joining FS Card, Peter worked as a project coordinator and contracts specialist for Carahsoft Technology Corporation. While there he worked on several services engagements and proposals in support of government programs. Before joining Carahsoft, Peter earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary with a specialization in Finance and a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

Natasha Wad

Treasury Manager
Natasha started as Treasury Manager at FS Card in January 2017. Prior to FS Card, Natasha spent two and a half years at Blackboard, Inc., where she managed the company’s Global Treasury and Banking Operations. Before joining Blackboard Inc., she worked on project finance in the International Health and Development group at ICF. Natasha is a graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.

Alison Cheng

Office Manager
As FS Card’s Office Manager, Alison Cheng is responsible for coordinating office events, managing schedules, and assisting with various internal processes. Prior to her work at FS Card, she served as a Junior Writer for a government contractor, and as a Research Assistant studying military innovation and adaptation. Alison graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, where she earned her B.A. in English with a focus in Creative Writing and a minor in Government.
